2021 USA/CAN GTNS – PIKE’S PEAK MARATHON

PIKE’S PEAK MARATHON –  Manitou Springs, CO August 20 – 22, 2021

On Sunday morning, August 22, 7 Elite USA Salomon athletes were among the 2,600 runners who toed the line for the 65th running of Pikes Peak Marathon! This iconic race was founded in 1956, and with 7,800 feet of vertical climb to the 14,115 foot summit, it is the oldest and most extreme marathon in the United States! Salomon has been the proud presenting sponsor for 4 years and although Pike’s Peak has been a stop for the Golden Trail World Series in the past, this is the first year as a part of the Golden Trail National Series. Pike’s Peak Marathon is a key, competitive race in North America.

For the 2nd stop of the inaugural Golden Trail National Series in North America, the top man and woman were Seth DeMoor, whose Youtube Channel has 143k subscribers, and Stevie Kremer, a Salomon Ambassador & Pikes Peak 2013 winner.

Second place female, ON Running athlete, Allie McLaughlin crossed the finish line in Motocross shin and knee pads that she wore to avoid getting too beat up if she fell. Allie did both the Pike’s Peak Ascent and Marathon, winning the Ascent the day before!
