


The GTNS races for Italy are:
- Dolomiti Beer Trail
- Ledro Sky
- Bettelmatt sky race
- GTNS IT national final is Transpelmo.
IT IS EACH INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE’S RESPONSIBILITY TO RESPECT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF EACH RACE.
To make the selection process less restrictive and more attractive the TOP 3 M&W from each race will be invited to participate at National Final.
This
National Final will bring together the best runners from each
race to select the 3 best M&W who will represent GTNS at the
World level.
This Grand Final will gather all the different GTNS (GTNS FR-BEL / GTNS SP-POR/ GTNS IT / GTNS UK / GTNS CZE-SK-POL/ GTNS GER-AUT-CH/ GTNS US-CAN/ GTNS MEXICO/ GTNS NORDICS).
If a runner didn’t rach the top 3 in the national final to receive an invitation to the GTNS Grand Final, he/she can still go at his/her own expense.
The top 3 men and women from this Grand Final will win a Golden Ticket to participate in the Golden Trail world series 2023, under the condition that he/she has participated in one of the GTNS 2022.
In the
event of race cancellations, the rules will apply as below:
– In the
event, some races are cancelled but there are still at least 3 races and the
GTWS has switched to a GTC format the top 3 M & W of the GTNS ITA will win a Golden Ticket for the GTC 2022. The GTNS Grand Finale is cancelled.
– In the
event, there are still at least 3 races active but there are less than 3 GTNS
still active, the GTNS Grand Finale is cancelled. The M & W winners of the
GTNS ITA will receive a Golden Ticket for the GTC 2022.
– In the
event, there are less than 3 races but the GTWS and the other GTNS are still
active, the GTNS ITA is cancelled and the winners of the races not
cancelled are invited to the GTNS Grand Finale directly.
– In the
event, there are less than 3 races and the GTWS has already switched to the GTC
format, the GTNS ITA switches to a GTC format. The winners of the races
which have not been cancelled get a Golden Ticket for the GTC 2022.
In the event of injury and the inability to compete before the competition, the runner who would have won a ticket for the GTNS Grand Final, or for the GTC, will not receive any compensation and will lose his/her ticket and will not receive travel expenses.
There is
only one category per gender: Overall male and overall female.
Every runner
is treated equally, has to meet the same requirements and needs to run the same
distance
The GTNS
respects parity and requires that the races give the same prize money to men
and women. The prize money is paid by the ASS Pro Loco Zoldo Alto (Transpelmo Organization
Team). The format is planned in such a way that every athlete in ITALY has the opportunity to compete in at least one
race in his/her country and thus qualify for the finals of the Golden Trail
National Series. This avoids long travel distances, reduces the ecological
footprint and respects the sustainability aspect of the Golden Trail Series.

Each
qualifying race in the series qualifies the top 3 M&W athletes directly for
the national final (Transpelmo):

The first 3 men and women from the GTNS IT overall ranking will receive their tickets* to participate in the GTNS Grand Final. Therefore, they will receive financial support for transport and accommodation.
MADEIRA OCEANS TRAIL FINAL' S PRICE by CATEGORY
The Top 3
M&W from the OPEN CATEGORY from the GTNS GRAND FINAL will be invited by the
GTS to take part in 3 GTWS 2023 races (Golden Ticket 2023).
The Top 5 M&W from the OPEN CATEGORY from the GTNS GRAND FINAL will be able to win prize money if they finish in the TOP 5 of the overall stage race OPEN CATEGORY:

GTNS Team Ranking from the GTNS GRAND FINAL will have access to financial
bonuses to be shared between team members:

A specific race bib will be given after the first stage and for the following stages to the overall leader, Climber leader, Downhill leader, Sprint leader, and Team leader.
If a runner is leading several categories, he/she naturally only wears one bib: the one designated by the order of priority:
1. Overall leader
2. Climber leader
3. Downhill leader
4. Sprint Leader
5. Team Leader
The other bibs are then worn by the runner lying 2nd, 3rd or 4th in the corresponding classification.
Therefore, the prize money cannot be accumulated. If a runner is the Best Stage Climber and Best Stage Downhiller, he/she is only eligible for one prize money sum’. The prize money is then won by the runner lying in 2nd, 3rd or 4th in the corresponding classification.
The same
thing happens for the segments overall ranking.
*Ticket:
[race bib]+ [accommodation for 8 days]+ [transport in the maximum sum specified
up to €600 from Europe]. Financial support will be provided to cover transport
costs.
