Watch now: Muju Trail Grand Finale recap
The Muju Trail Grand Finale recap is now available! Featuring 28 kilometres and 2,400 metres of elevation gain, the Grand Finale delivered the most technical course of the season, with steep climbs, rocky descents and slippery trails setting the stage for a thrilling battle for the final race victories and the overall titles.
In the men’s race, Elhousine Elazzaoui (NNormal) claimed victory at the Grand Finale, securing his third consecutive GTWS overall title. With this achievement, the Moroccan became the first athlete in the history of the series to win three overall crowns. The season came down to an exceptionally tight battle, with just two points separating Elazzaoui from Patrick Kipngeno (Run2Gether On Trail) in the overall standings.
The women’s race also delivered a memorable conclusion. Andrea Kolbeinsdóttir (Salomon) made an impressive debut in the series, winning the Grand Finale after qualifying through the Golden Trail National Series (GTNS). Meanwhile, Madalina Florea (Scott) secured her second consecutive overall GTWS title, capping off another outstanding season.
