GTWS comes to Korea for the first time ever. The season-ending Grand Finale unfolds in Deogyusan National Park, Muju County, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province—a symbolic venue at the heart of Korea’s domestic bid for the 2036 Summer Olympics. The course covers 26 kilometers with 2,228 meters of total elevation gain, linking Hyangjeokbong and Jungbong. The route strings together continuous ridgelines and steep gradients; after the summit it dives into a descent that alternates conifer forest singletrack with rocky terrain, carrying runners past Baengnyeonsa, a Buddhist temple with more than a thousand years of history. With long climbs, highly technical downhills, and a late sprint section, it is designed to be the most technical course of the season. Designated a national park in 1975, Deogyusan is a celebrated mountain famed for its brilliant autumn foliage and striking winter scenery. It blends temple heritage with resort accessibility, offering a stage that captures a distinctly Korean character. The GTWS Grand Final in Korea will be contested on the country’s natural and cultural heritage, demanding the highest level of technical skill all season.
