Warburton Trail Fest hosts the first outing of Australia’s Golden Trail National Series featuring a pure mountain-style course where runners climb more than 1000 m in the first 8km up the stunning and immersive trails exploring Mount Donna Buang. Nearing the summit, runners pass through quintessential Australian fern-filled rainforest and towering gum tree territory, looping around the midway peak aid station before backing up the lactic challenge of the ascent with a leg thumping technical descent that will get the adrenaline pumping in a pure test of downhill mountain running skill. This is one race where you will have to be on your game to stay ahead of the pack and upright!
